Hi, I’m Drew Herlocher
I’m a Game Programmer and a graduate of Champlain College in Burlington, VT. I’m now living in New York City and working on a small indie game.
I’ve always been drawn to the way games blend technology and creativity. The idea that you can write code that makes someone feel something is what got me into this field, and it’s what keeps me going.
Originally from the Upper West Side in New York City, I had the opportunity to study abroad through Champlain three times, twice in Montreal and once in Dublin, Ireland. Those experiences pushed me outside my comfort zone and gave me a much broader perspective on design, culture, and collaboration.
I’m especially interested in gameplay programming, AI, and the systems that make games work. I enjoy building things, figuring out how they work, and finding ways to make them better.
